Winnats Pass
£300.00
The road rises out of Castleton and winds towards the entrance to the old Blue John Mine. Over the cattle grid and the sheer walls of Winnats Pass close in and the road pitches up. It is a brutal climb on a bike.
Stood on the top of the fell the view is amazing back down the pass and on to Hope Valley beyond. This is an epic place that deserves respect.
I used a mixed media approach to bring this picture to life, watercolour, drawing pen and acrylic paint that defines the rugged rocky outcrops and the softer grassy fell sides where sheep graze.
It comes in an antique gold effect frame that is reclaimed and recycled.
