Painting Plein air as much as possible I try and bring an immediacy and freshness to my work with gestural mark making and a bold use of colour. Living in Yorkshire I am inspired by the local landscape, capturing the open spaces and big skies of Northern England.

Hi,
When is it going to stop raining???
I can’t remember the last time I saw the sun which has put the brakes on any plein air outdoor painting action. I am so looking forward to the spring and getting at it again. In the meantime I am busy in the studio prepping for the Fusion Art Fair in Harrogate from 6th to 8th March. It promises to be a great event with over 100 artists, demos, food & drink, come along and take a look at my latest collection of small landscape studies.
I have a selection of work on display in Cafe H, Tickhill, all the work is for sale so pop in for the lovely coffee & cake and take a peek at the work.
Plans are set for the spring with lots going on :
Clumber Park Residency & Exhibition 3rd - 11th April
Clumber Park Blossom Festival 2nd - 4th May
St Mary’s Church, Tickhill Exhibition 8th - 10th May
Doncaster Art Fair Sat 16th May
Art at the Farm Festival, Tickhill 1st & 2nd August.
Also I am running workshops in Clumber and continuing my work with local art groups with demos and workshops. Check out my workshops page for more details.
