The steep hill that runs down from High Melton towards Mexborough offers a fantastic view. Painted plein air, this painting shows houses on the edge of Mexborough up on the hill across the valley. The valley is a flood plain and on this day in November we had a named storm and the road was closed due to flooding.

It is presented in a handmade black wooden float frame.
