The road from Oldcoates to Dinnington twists and turns, up and down through the South Yorkshire farmland. On a recent bike ride I noticed that the rapeseed was in full colour and extensively planted, painting the fields a wonderful yellow hue. I went back to paint plein air in early May 2024. It was a rare sunny day after weeks of rain. It was a joy to be out in the warmth painting such an uplifting landscape. Good for the soul.
