Inspired by Paul Nash and his wonderful series of paintings of the Whittenham Clumps I have painted this view a couple of times. I have cycled past the trees on a road that follows a ridge from Maltby to Slade Hooton with expansive views over to the East. This is painted plein air in oils with a hand made wooden frame painted in slate grey.
