I am obsessed with rolling hills and the colour and patterns of the crops. On a bike ride I spotted this view of golden fields giving way to the green of the trees and church spire on the horizon. It made for a fantastic composition so I went back with the French Easel and set up to paint on a sunny bright day. A great day of plein air action!! I love the sway of the wheat in the wind and the subtle changes in colour. A classic Yorkshire summer landscape.
