On a painting trip to The Lakes in January 2024 there was a day of glorious sunny weather so I set up on the shore of Derwent Water to paint. It was one of those Plein air days that went really well despite the ever changing light conditions. With a steady stream of walkers coming past it was lovely to talk about my painting.

After about 5 hours the picture was done and I present it here for sale in a beautiful, handmade wooden frame painted off white. It captures the esscence and beauty of the view down the lake into Borrowdale with the well know profile of Cat Bells
