Every autumn I like to paint conkers, they are little gems of colour and texture and as they dry out they change in interesting ways. A subject that excities me and just screams out autumn is here and winter is coming. Painting them every year allows me to see how I am developing or changing too.

This little study is framed against a neutral background which I think works well. Its ready to hang or stand on a surface.
