Bassenthwaite From Barf
‘Barf’ is a towering rock face that rises from Powter How in Thorthwaite up to 1500 feet, its a tough climb but the views from the top are amazing. Its famous for the white ‘horses head’ rock that sits half way up the face and is linked to a local legend.
This is a view down Borrowdale Valley to Derwent Water and Keswick. Painted from the fell side. This beautiful little painitng is one of my favourite paintings of the Lakes.
Oil on Board. 20cm x 25cm
Hand framed in a slate grey wooden frame.
